“It was important to me to feel confident in my pregnancy and labor and it was wonderful to have both doulas as resources. Kate attended my birth and was supportive when my labor didn’t go quite as planned and I needed a C section. After we went home from the hospital Kacey came over for a postpartum visit and helped me develop a plan for breastfeeding and pumping when I went back to work. She is very knowledgeable and relaxed and I felt more confident and organized after the meeting. It’s great to know I have them there for questions still. Overall having a doula made me feel like my husband and I were part of the baby birthing dream team because they brought so much knowledge, positivity, support and calming presence to the whole experience. Thank you for everything!”

Comfort Measures During Labor Workshop
Join the doulas in either Cincinnati or Dayton for an evening of hands-on learning, and an overview of skills that you and your partner can use during labor for added comfort, whether you are getting the epidural, want to go unmedicated, or aren't even sure what you want yet!
Topics include:
Creating a relaxing environment
Assessment of coping skills you already use
Hands-on practice of common comfort techniques and positions
Q&A opportunities with the doulas and childbirth educators
“I would recommend clients to take the comfort measures class twice, one earlier in their pregnancy and one later; preferably taught by two different people. That’s what I did and I was so glad we did it that way. It was really cool to get two different perspectives. They said the same main points, but said them so differently. Taking the class twice allowed me to retain more and doing it closer to my due date a second time was so helpful to both me and my husband! I wish I’d had it with my first two.”
